I finally got off my lazy butt and posted a new story over on my stories page. It’s my vision of where corporate America is heading as wages stagnate and jobs become harder to find here, while other countries see their wages soar, especially in the tech fields that we outsourced in the interest of saving a few bucks.
Check it out on the stories page, or just click here.

Well done. I thought you captured the dismalness of it all very well. The future is such a beautiful shade of Orwellian grayish blue, isn’t? Thanks very much for getting off your lazy butt – your effort is greatly appreciated.
Hey Mike, Very “sixth sense”ish in the sense that you pulled the switcheroo at the end…brilliant I thought. I think you are very good at dialog and should use it a lot. I liked this story a lot and I could see M. Night Shamylon or however spell it, doing a movie along these lines. great job! I liked it a lot.

Evilpoet, I am (predictably, perhaps) a fan of 1984, and the director’s cut of Brazil is one of my all-time favorite movies, as well. I wanted to present a scenario where the oppression is not from the government but rather from individual corporations; and where the people are not forced to obey, but feel they have no choice. I’m not always so cynical, only… most of the time.
Nikki, if you want to pass a copy to M. Night next time he’s in town for Sundance, that’s OK with me. Ha ha.
Thanks so much to both of you for taking the time to read and comment on my story.
